The Dish

Welcome to Dishin With Debs!

I have been writing and sharing for years, but decided to put it all in one place.  I’m a former teacher, designer, a mom, a writer, and an all around go-getter.   My kids would say that I’m often crazy and certainly have a knack for giving unsolicited advice.  I don’t claim to be an expert in any realm, these are just practical things that have worked for me.  I am a master at entertaining and have a huge family.   I adore cooking, baking, cocktails, decorating and I love to write about topics that I’m passionate about.  Thanksgiving is usually around fifty to sixty people, so that being said, sometimes I feel more like a caterer than a home cook.  I can throw a mean party, but I also want practical tips for keeping my family fed on busy weeknights. I love to talk about anything and everything, so some days it may be about food and other days it may be about taking time to slow down and enjoy the moments without losing my mind.  I think we all need reminders that no one has it all together, even though sometimes it may appear that way.   My goal is to make it through life with a sense of humor.  I’ve been married for over 22 years to the best guy around and he tends to keep me grounded.  I’ve learned so many lessons throughout the years and hopefully I am aging like a fine wine that gets better with time.  Cheers to enjoying the journey and keeping our sanity.  Let’s dish!

xoxo Deb
